f/2.8 and get fab!

In the beginning, I was told the ever so famous photographer’s philosophy; “f/8 and be there”. Ha! Turns out after months of using this general setting and basing my manual exposure around this; all you get is flat images.

So, for those starting out; I’ll be ultra-fab and let you in on the biz-nass.

“f/2.8 and get fab!”

Seriously, I started basing my manual exposure around f/2.8 and it’s like I turned into a fab-er photographer. Finally! Those crucial focus points that explained the whole photo, popped out at you. That depth was finally there in my work and I felt more comfortable about my process of shooting.

I finally found it! The brand I have long been waiting for… This last week I was designing my cousin’s (also a wedding photographer) brand when it jumped out at me from no where. Before I could even pull it together in PS I already knew EXACTLY what it was going to look like. Then, I was like,”wait, I can’t use this as my brand, it’s too similar to my cousin’s brand”; but then I realized something. We’re family; we look alike, so why shouldn’t our brands? And voila!

So, to reign in the |new| logo and the |new| website (based around our new brand) we are joining in on the black friday fun!

Stephie: portrait session

Yesterday I had the chance to shoot the ever so caring Stephie. Stephie has watched me grow up and I’m so glad. All she has to do is walk into a room and the whole atmosphere changes. She just has that ability to turn your day into a GREAT one. Look at those eyes, WOWZA!
